Vision, Mission & Objectives

The Latin American Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society, LAVECCS a non-profit organization was created on 1 April 2007.
The purpose of LAVECCS is to promote, spread and secure the knowledge progression and elevated standards of practice in Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Medicine in Latin-America.
LAVECCS has among its associates, colleagues from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Grenada, Mexico, Peru, Paraguay, Puerto Rico, Spain, United States of America and Uruguay.

Priorities for the Upcoming Year

To continue providing continue education in Latin America and in collaboration with other organizations to help increase the level of emergency and critical care practices in other developing countries around the World

The XII Latin American Emergency and Critical Care Congress will be held in Lima, Peru, 26 – 28 November, 2019, in cooperation with AMVEPPA a WSAVA Associate member

LAVECCS will also be present in the MSAVA Acapulco  Congress in May 16-18, 2019

Among other Congresses

This year we have initiated our process to have several RECOVER accredited instructors to be able to expand the RECOVER certification Program to Latin America and others developing countries if WSAVA is willing to contribute
