Vision, Mission & Objectives

The Hellenic Companion Animal Veterinary Society (HCAVS) was founded in2009.
It has since been the only veterinary society in Greece dedicated exclusively to companion animal medicine.
In 2010 the HCAVS numbered 150 members. Today, nine years later, the HCAVS has 1.170 active members.
Its annual scientific activities include: a Pan-Hellenic Companion Animal Veterinary Forum with pre-congress wet labs and international participation, a road show of advanced regional 2-day courses that travel in 5 cities around Greece and a scientific day-conference each fall.
The HCAVS, since 2012, publishes the “Hellenic Journal of Companion Animal Medicine” a bilingual scientific journal targeting the veterinarians who engage exclusively in small animal clinical work.

On July 13th, Professor Timoleon (Tim) Rallis, President of the Board of the Hellenic Companion Animal Veterinary Society (HCAVS), passed away. Read the 'Farewell to Our President' by HCAVS here

Priorities for the Upcoming Year

To spread and enhance the continuing education process for the benefit of our society’s members, through the next 10th Anniversary Forum and through the seminars and courses scheduled for 2019.
