Vision, Mission & Objectives

Finnish Association of Veterinary Practitioners was found on 10th April 1964, in order to unite the vets working in specialised veterinary practice and help the members in their profesional development. In order to do this, FAVP organises CE events, provides insight in various committees and helps its members to network globally.

Priorities for the Upcoming Year

Our main activity for 2019 will be to organise CE events for our members.
We are working actively to recruit new members and educate especially the students and new graduates about the member benefits. It has been a tradition to organize an informal get together with the students where we tell them about the FAVP and the organizations we belong to, for example WSAVA, and their member benefits. Thanks to this, most of the new vets know about FAVP and WSAVA, and many of them become members.
FAVP has been happy to see many younger vets wanting to take part in our activities. In year 2018 two new subgroups started: a subgroup for small animal dermatology and feline medicine. Both have had a very brisk start and are planning more activities for the year 2019.
