Dr Felisbina Queiroga, Associate Professor with Aggregation at the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro in Portugal, joins the team

From a strong field of candidates, Dr Queiroga was elected by a large majority to join the WSAVA’s Executive Board during the General Assembly at #wsava2019. We are delighted to welcome her and look forward to her contribution in the months ahead.
Felisbina holds a Master’s and PhD in Internal Medicine and Oncology and Chair of the Scientific Commission of the Portuguese Small Animal Veterinary Association.  She is also Assembly Representative at the Portuguese Ordem dos Médicos Veterinários, the regulatory body for the veterinary profession in Portugal. She participates in several working group in these roles.
She says:  “As Southern European associations are under-represented at the WSAVA, my contribution will help bring them into the WSAVA family.  Portugal also has a strong relationship with Ibero-American countries (FIAVAC) and is a bridge to Portuguese-speaking countries in Africa and Asia.
“I’m actively involved with many veterinary associations in areas including financial planning and defining programs and policies and will put my strengths, including problem-solving and boosting team performance, to the service of the WSAVA.
I am delighted to join the WSAVA Executive Board and look forward to  helping it to make an even bigger impact on the global veterinary community.”
