We are working with OIE, Global Alliance for Rabies Control (GARC) and other partners to achieve an ambitious goal – to eliminate deaths from rabies by 2030.
World Rabies Day was created by GARC to raise awareness of the importance of rabies prevention. This year’s theme is vaccination - the foundation of all rabies control efforts. You’ll find more information here: https://rabiesalliance.org/world-rabies-day.
If you support World Rabies Day by running an event in your region, you could win a free registration for #WSAVA 2020. It’s easy to do because GARC has created lots of ideas and tools to help you here: https://rabiesalliance.org/world-rabies-day/event-resources
GARC has even created a special poster template for WSAVA members to use to publicize your event: https://rabiesalliance.org/poster/create/7368 Just upload your logo and add an image then download the poster to help spread the word. To be in with a chance to win the free registration, following your event, please email the poster to us at email@example.com.
We will publish a display of the posters in this Bulletin and on our website during October. One poster will be chosen at random on Friday 4 October and the association or individual who submitted it will win the free registration.
Please do your bit to support the global fight against rabies on World Rabies Day and give yourself or a member of your association the opportunity to join us in Warsaw for #WSAVA2020!
