We’re excited to announce that our 2020 Congress will take place in Warsaw! Following a rigorous selection process, we chose the city because of the excellent facilities it offers and the commitment of the Local Host Committee to create a world-class Congress.
A European business hub, Warsaw offers historic buildings, a vibrant cultural and entertainment life and a lively restaurant scene. The venue for World Congress - EXPO XXI - is ideally suited to our needs and is just ten minutes from the heart of the city.
Our Polish Assembly Representative and WSAVA Committee member, Dr Jerzy Gawor, will chair the Local Host Committee of the Polish Small Animal Veterinary Association (PSAVA). He and his team are already working on plans for yet another unforgettable World Congress.
He says: “The Polish small animal veterinary community is excited that WSAVA World Congress is coming. We will be introduced during this year’s Congress in Copenhagen and this will kickstart our preparations. We will offer delegates the opportunity to experience unique Polish hospitality, friendship, food – as well as the way we combine fun with education! We have much to share with our global colleagues and look forward to meeting old friends and making new ones. Our WSAVA Congress will be a great European event with a strong regional flavour. Don’t miss it!”
WSAVA Congress Liaison Office, Dr Nicola Neumann, says: “Poland has long been one of our favourite destinations for WSAVA members to visit. Now we are staging a Congress here which is really exciting!
“Jerzy and his colleagues will be hugely hospitable and well-organized. As a vet from a small but active Irish veterinary community, I am so happy that our Polish friends will be hosting us. We will again share our knowledge and experience and look forward to evenings spent talking over a beer or two!”
If you like to plan ahead, the dates are Wednesday 21-Saturday 28 September 2020!
