‘Getting them to Congress’ is an important WSAVA initiative to help Assembly members who cannot attend Congress because of economic difficulties, by offering them the opportunity to apply for a full or partial grant to help with travel expenses.

In 2018, thanks to the generous support of some of our more fortunate member associations, we offered grants to our Assembly Members from Argentina, Costa Rica and Kenya to enable them to come to Singapore.

Getting them to Congress for our 2019 Congress in Toronto is now open. While we have some funds available, we need help from our financially stronger members to fully fund it so please consider supporting this initiative if you can. Whatever you can give will go a long way and will be matched with funding from the WSAVA New Initiatives Fund.

Please contact WSAVA CEO Arpita Bhose at for more information.

We also encourage our Assembly Members whose associations are unable to fund their attendance to apply to benefit from grant funding.

Read the SOP here!

Please submit your application before the deadline of 16 January 2019.
