Are you a globally-recognized scientific expert in an area of relevance to our work? If so, please consider this important role.
Our newly formed Scientific Committee combines the work of our former Scientific Advisory Committee and Congress Scientific Program Committee. Its projects include:
- Producing timely information on scientific developments of relevance to WSAVA members. These could include the outbreak of a novel infectious disease or introduction of a novel therapeutic
- Providing expert review of proposals from WSAVA committees and project groups (for instance, new Global Guidelines or position statements)
- Holding ultimate responsibility for the scientific content of WSAVA World Congress. It will develop each year’s program in collaboration with the Local Host Committee
- Identifying candidates for the WSAVA Scientific Achievement Award
