Vision, Mission & Objectives

The Danish Veterinary Association (DVA) is the Danish veterinary profession's professional organization - the employees' veterinary union and the veterinary companies' employers' association.

DVA's approximately 4,000 members include practicing veterinarians, publicly-employed veterinarians, veterinarians employed in the private sector, students and pensioners. Approximately 2,500 of the members are active and they work, among other things, with companion animals, production animals, food safety, meat control, research, education, veterinary administration and in life science.

The members of the Danish Veterinary Association have a very high level of professionalism and a great commitment to their working life. It also characterizes the work of DVA. The academic community is at the center of the union, which deals with everything that has an influence on the veterinary profession's professional and political interests.
