Vision, Mission & Objectives
The American College of Veterinary Dermatology certifies veterinarians who have specialized training and expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of animals with hereditary, inflammatory or neoplastic disorders of the skin, hair, ears, claws and mucous membranes. A veterinary dermatologist has substantial training and experience in the diagnosis and management of allergic skin diseases.
Priorities for the Upcoming YearOne of the goal of the ACVD is to improve the knowledge of veterinary dermatology to areas in the US where veterinarian do not have adequate resources including CE. Since 2011, the ACVD has been delivering CE in various areas in the US that meet this criterion. In 2019, the CE will be delivered in Anchorage, Alaska, on October 4-6.
