Chand Khanna DVM, PhD completed his veterinary training at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 1991. He then received specialty training in the fields of veterinary internal medicine and oncology first at the Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph and then the University of Minnesota. Dr. Khanna is a board-certified diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Oncology) and was recently awarded honorary membership as a Diplomate of the American College Veterinary Pathology. Following this clinical specialization Dr. Khanna received a PhD in the field of Cancer Immunotherapy from the University of Minnesota and then completed a post-doctoral fellowship National Cancer Institute in Bethesda Maryland. Dr. Khanna continued at the NIH receiving full tenure(Senior Investigator) as the Chief of the Tumor and Metastasis Biology Section, Pediatric Oncology Branch, National Cancer Institute, NIH and the founding Director NCI, Center for Cancer Research Comparative Oncology Program. Dr. Khanna has maintained a strong connection to the field of veterinary oncology and animal health. He continues to be an active clinician within his referral oncology practices, The Oncology Service, LLC, based in the greater Washington DC area. He is founder of Animal Clinical Investigation LLC, a contract research company, involved in Animal Health. Dr. Khanna is currently Chief Science Officer with Ethos Veterinary Health, and President of Ethos Discovery(501c3), an incubator of scientific innovation developing novel therapeutics and diagnostics for both human and veterinary patients with complex medical problems.
