Dr Jane Sykes
Jane Sykes is a Professor of Small Animal Medicine at the University of California, Davis School of Veterinary Medicine with a special interest in small animal infectious diseases. She obtained her veterinary degree and PhD in veterinary microbiology at the University of Melbourne in Australia, and her residency in small animal internal medicine at the University of Minnesota. She is Board-Certified in the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in 2001, and joined the faculty at UC Davis in 2002. She has coauthored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications, is the editor of the Elsevier textbook “Canine and Feline Infectious Diseases” and is currently also editing Greene’s Infectious Diseases of the Dog and Cat. She co-founded the International Society of Companion Animal Infectious Diseases (ISCAID), was the first President of that Society, and is currently Secretary-Treasurer of ISCAID. She was President of the ACVIM Specialty of Small Animal Internal Medicine from 2012-2015, and is currently Associate Editor (Infectious Diseases) of the Journal of Veterinary Internal Medicine. Her research interests currently include antimicrobial drug resistant bacterial infections, blood-borne infectious diseases and deep mycoses, especially cryptococcosis and coccidioidomycosis.
She is currently Chief Veterinary Medical Officer of the UC Davis William R. Pritchard Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital.

Dr Christina Braun
Dr Christina Braun is a Board Certified Specialist in Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia®. She received her specialist training at the University of Georgia (USA), where she worked five additional years as assistant professor. In 2012, she joined the team of Anaesthesiology and Perioperative Intensive Care Medicine at the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna (Austria). Christina graduated from the Free University of Berlin (Germany) Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. She followed her studies of veterinary medicine with a doctorate at the University of Berne (Switzerland), while working as a research associate at the AO Research Center Davos (Switzerland). Christinas' mission is to increase animal welfare by fostering interest and understanding in Veterinary Anesthesiology by pursuing research on the interaction of anesthetics and cardiopulmonary physiology and providing resources to veterinary students, technicians, and colleagues.
Dr Hock Siew Han
Dr Han Hock Siew graduated from University Putra Malaysia (UPM) in 2002 and completed the European School for Advanced Veterinary Studies (ESAVS) Dermatology Full Course in 2013. He then proceeded to his dermatology residency with the Asian College of Veterinary Dermatology (AiCVD) under the mentorship of Charles Chen (Taiwan) and Chiara Noli (Italy) before obtaining his diploma in 2017. Dr. Han currently provides referral and second opinion dermatological consults in Singapore and Malaysia. His main research interests revolve around the provision of evidence based dermatological solutions to specific regional dermatological diseases, and has published on such topics such as feline sporotrichosis, feline Lynxacariosis and recently updated the treatment of cutaneous screwworm infestations.
Dr Remo Lobetti
Remo Lobetti graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Science, Onderstepoort, University of Pretoria in 1987. In 1990 completed a BVSc (Hons), 1995 an MMedVet (Med) degree, and a PhD in 2005. In 1997 achieved board certification by the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. Remo worked in general practice before joining the Department of Medicine, Faculty of Veterinary Science, University of Pretoria in 1992 initially as senior lecturer, then associate professor and then as Section Head of Small Animal Medicine. Since 2001 has been an internist at Bryanston Veterinary Hospital in Johannesburg. Has presented numerous papers both locally and internationally and has written and co-authored numerous scientific papers, review articles and book chapters in various aspects of small animal medicine.
