John Rossi is an assistant professor at the Drexel University School of Public Health in Philadelphia, PA, and Associate Director of the Program for the Study of Public Health Ethics and History.  Dr. Rossi’s research interests include animal ethics, veterinary ethics, pediatric ethics, ethical issues in risk analysis and communication, moral theory, and general ethical issues in biomedical research and public health.  His work has been published in The American Journal of Bioethics, The Kennedy Institute of Ethics Journal, The Journal of Medical Ethics, Public Health Ethics, Autism, and other peer-reviewed journals.  Dr. Rossi has taught ethics to students in pubic health, bioethics, and veterinary medicine.  Prior to assuming his current position, he was the 2010-2012 Pfizer Fellow in Health Policy, and a Commissioner's Fellow at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) from 2008-2010.  Dr. Rossi has also practiced clinical veterinary medicine.  He is formally trained in veterinary medicine and bioethics.
