ISVO Report 2011

ISVO has an important role in coordinating, and promoting fellowship amongst veterinary ophthalmologists from all over the world. This is achieved by publication of a very appreciated journal: “The Globe”, and organisation of a biannual meeting. Thanks to the Editor (C.Peruccio), the Co-Editor (K.Narfström) and the Production Manager (S. Wiechel), the quality and distribution of the journal was greatly improved this year. As decided in Sao Paulo, the 2011 meeting will take place in Jeju Island as a WSAVA precongress meeting. Included in the program are lectures delivered by the current ISVO president: Dr Akihiko Saito from Japan and by the current ISVO vice president: Dr Peter Bedford from UK. During this meeting, the AiSVO ( Asian Society of Veterinary Ophthalmology) will be officially established.
