The North American Veterinary Community (NAVC) is a nonprofit organization that provides world-class continuing professional development for the global veterinary healthcare community.

We started as a single flagship event, the North American Veterinary Conference. Over the years, we have evolved into an organization that educates, empowers and connects the global veterinary community all year long.

By offering cutting-edge veterinary continuing education programs, we empower Veterinarians, Veterinary Technicians and Practice Managers with the skills they need throughout their careers.

By developing forums for communication and connection, we fuel the spread of knowledge and innovation within our profession.

By uniting the global veterinary community, we promote a higher standard for veterinary care across the world.

We invite you to explore our programs, get to know our team and Board of Directors, and discover the many ways we’re working to support veterinary professionals every day.

Commitment: Be passionate about the NAVC and the veterinary profession.

Excellence: Strive to exceed our customers’ expectations.

Innovation: Embrace change and drive innovation.

Stewardship: Be outstanding advocates of our brands, resources and community.

Communication: Communicate openly and honestly to build enduring relationships.

Authenticity: Be unique, memorable, personable and humble.

The NAVC International Scholarship program was created to invite attendees from Cuba, Eastern Europe, South America and the Middle East to the January NAVC Conference.  Recipients receive a complete travel and registration package to the NAVC Conference and are hosted by a NAVC Board Member or Past President while on-site. We take pride in bringing countries together in the name of veterinary education.

Our mission has allowed us to develop this program to bring national leaders and organizers of veterinary meetings to the NAVC Conference.  To select candidates, NAVC works closely with WSAVA Executive Board along with the NAVC Board of Directors and Past-Presidents of other associations with final decisions coming from the NAVC International Outreach Committee.

NAVC OnCampus™ Scholarships

As future veterinarians, students are a major focus for the NAVC and we provide an annual scholarship to one student at each of the US, Canadian and three Caribbean veterinary schools.  These students are also provided with an all expense paid trip to attend the annual NAVC Conference in January in Orlando, Florida, where they have the opportunity to network and sample a variety of specialties and disciplines over the course of the week.

NAVC OnCampus™ Presents!

To help with gaps in veterinary curriculum, the student representative program has evolved into NAVC OnCampus™, where a taste of NAVC is brought to the students at their college. Each school picks a topic they would like to learn more about (e.g. Dentistry, Exotic Animal Medicine, Emergency & Critical Care Medicine, etc.) and an expert NAVC speaker gives a presentation.
