MSAVA Activities For 2009
• Royal Canin sponsored 3 seminar which were held at Kuala Lumpur, Ipoh and Johore from the 24th June to 26th 2009. The Topic was Urinary problems in Cats
• 26th and 27th September 2009 – MSAVA held its 19th Annual General Meeting. A total of 10 papers were presented by local and international speakers.
• 13th Dec 2009 – “Exotic Pet Diseases” seminar conducted by MSAVA – Speakers Dr. Jalila Abu DVM, MSc, PhD & Assoc. Prof. Dr. S. Vellayan KMN, PJK,BVSc,MS,CBiol,MlBiol,FNSM,FMSA&FVAM
• The President was invited to the FSAVA seminar at Thailand he was accompanied by the President – Elect who is the MSAVA representative for FASAVA.

Continuing Education Program
• 17th Jan 2010 – Tick Borne Diseases – organized by MSAVA the speaker was Dr. Remo Lobetti BVSc,MMedVet(Med),PhD, Dipl.ECVIM (Internal Med)
• 20th & 21st March Soft Tissue Wetlab – organized by MSAVA speaker is Dr. Kim Smith DVM, MACVSc & FACVSc
• 1st April – Neurology seminar – organized by MSAVA, speaker is – Dr. Joe Kornegay.
• To be confirmed Ultrasound Seminar Intermediate level – in May 2010 – Speaker Dr. Heng Hok Gun
• To be confirmed Endoscopy. Speaker - Dr Todd Tams from USA – WSAVA sponsored
• 24th to 26th September – MSAVA AGM and 20th Scientific Conference. General
• MSAVA has signed an MOU with Evolutis Sdn. Bhd. for the promotion of Pet Insurance in Malaysia through its members. The principle Insurance Company is Kurnia Insurance Sdn. Bhd. MSAVA members will play the role of Vetcare Service Providers.
• Department of Veterinary Services, MAHNIA & MSAVA jointly working for the publication of the Malaysian Veterinary Drug Index.
• Dialogue with ProVet Australia for the Introduction of Veterinary Nursing Course in Malaysia.
