The Congress Opening Ceremonies honoured and recognized the achievements of the WSAVA Award winners and featured many exceptional performances including a traditional didgeridoo player and a trio of violinists called String Angels.

The Congress Opening Ceremonies was a time to celebrate the gathering of friends and old acquaintances - and take the time to dance with a quecko! Isabel Romberg, wife of WSAVA President Brian Romberg, is pictured kicking up her heels to the music and festivities at the Post Opending Ceremonies reception that took place in the Exhibit Hall and featured many entertainers including Dancing Geckos and Kangaroos.

The Gala Evening was preceded by the Presidents Reception held aboard a ship anchored in lovely Darling Harbour. A good time was had by all!
