AVEACA´s Report 2011:

AVEACA is working very hard to develope the following activities during this year:

1) On August 3 - 5, 2011 took place the XI National Congress
Venue: Convention Center Palais Rouge
Main Sponsor: EUKANUBA
Attendance: more than 800 colleagues
The scientific program covered different topics as: feline medicine, cardiology, dermatology and surgery. Together with the scientific program took place a commercial exhibition with the participation of more than 30 companies.

2) On September 14 th. is going to take place the Fifth Module of the Continuing Education Program of FIAVAC. The topic will be dermatology. In this opportunity the foreign speaker will be Dr. Gustavo Machicote Goth, from Spain.

3) AVEACA is organizing together with EUKANUBA a series of lectures about different subjects from September to Dicember 2011. The idea is giving the lectures in differents cities of our country.

4) AVEACA continued publishing its own magazine "PRAXIS". Now it is online at www.aveaca.org.ar . It is a three-month publication.

AVEACA Annual Report 2008-2009 (posted June 2009)

During 2008 AVEACA worked very hard developing the following activities:

1) AVEACA organised together with the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (UBA) a series of lectures about radiology from June to October 2008 and a series of lectures about echography from October to December 2008.

2) VIII National Congress: August 14 - 15 th., 2008

Attendance: more than 800 colleagues
The scientific program covered different topics as: feline medicine, behaviour, oncology, nutrition and surgery. Together with the scientific program took place a commercial exhibition with the participation of more than 30 companies.

3) Ninth Module of the Continuing Education Program: September 19 th., 2008
Convention Center: Bauen Hotel
Sponsors: BAYER, HILL´S and INTERVET
Attendance: more than 200 colleagues
In this occasion the foreign speaker was Dr. Jolle Kirpensteijn, from The Netherlands, who gave a lecture about oncology. The local speaker was Estela Molina, who gave a lecture about nephrology.

4) On November 26 th., 2008 AVEACA organized together with EUKANUBA a meeting about "Practice Management". The speaker was Dra. Betina Rama

5) AVEACA continued publishing its own magazine "PRAXIS", which is distributed in different parts of the country. It is a three-month publication.

Activities 2009:

1) On March 25 th. took place the First Module of the Continuing Education Program of FIAVAC. The topic was endocrinology. In this opportunity the foreign speaker was Dr. Albert Lloret, from Spain, and the two local speakers were Dr. Alejandro Blanco and Dr. Juan Duacastella.

2) AVEACA just started with its own Continuing Education Program with the following schedule:
- May 20, 2009: DERMATOLOGY
- June 17, 2009: CARDIOLOGY

- August 19, 2009: OPHTHALMOLOGY
- September 16, 2009: NEPHROLOGY

3) We are organizing our Ninth National Congress in association with AAMeFe (Asociación Argentina de Medicina Felina)

Together with the scientific programan is going to take place an important commercial exhibition.

4) The Tenth Module of the Continuing Education Program, organized together with the WSAVA, will probably take place on October 2009.

5) On November 25, 2009 is going to take place the Second Module of the Continuing Education Program of FIAVAC.

6) AVEACA continues working very hard in the next edition of "PRAXIS"
